In July 2019 I undertook an Artist Residency in Puebla, Mexico. Before heading to Puebla I spent a month in Mexico City and went to many museums and galleries, where I learned about the complex history of Mexico in both pre and post colonial times. Over the 4 weeks in Puebla, I created a series of 5 paintings that explored themes of conflict, identity, feminism and more.
